About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Purchasing Officer to support our international procurement operations. You will assist in sourcing, ordering, and coordinating the delivery of various hotel-related products and services. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with suppliers and internal teams. Remote applicants are welcome.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the purchasing of goods and services related to hotel operations (e.g., linens, cleaning supplies, amenities, equipment, etc.)
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality standards
- Process purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing records
- Coordinate with suppliers on order status, delivery schedules, and any discrepancies
- Support inventory control and replenishment activities
- Assist with maintaining supplier relationships and vendor performance tracking
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
- 1–2 years of purchasing or administrative experience in the hotel or hospitality industry is an advantage
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with purchasing software is a plus
- Ability to work independently and remotely when required
