About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Accountant to manage the company's financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain compliance with Philippine tax regulations. The role involves handling day-to-day accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, managing budgets, and supporting the management team in strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Record all financial transactions including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities using accounting systems or manual records.
- Prepare Journal Entries, General Ledger, and Subsidiary Ledgers.
- Manage Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) — process payments to suppliers, contractors, and collect receivables from clients.
- Prepare Statements of Account and ensure balances are up to date.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including:
- Income Statement
- Balance Sheet
- Cash Flow Statement
- Assist in budget planning and perform financial forecasting to support business decisions.
- Ensure timely submission of all tax requirements including VAT, Withholding Tax, and Income Tax in compliance with BIR regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors, BIR, and other regulatory agencies when necessary.
- Oversee payroll processing including salary computation, deductions, overtime, and government contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
- Monitor petty cash and other company funds, ensuring proper allocation and documentation.
- Check and manage company emails — respond to inquiries, follow up on invoices, and coordinate with suppliers, clients, and management.
- Provide financial insights and reports to management for operational and strategic planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- Licensed CPA is an advantage but not required.
- At least 1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficient in MS Excel and knowledgeable in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or Peachtree.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation and BIR reporting processes.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for handling emails and reports.
