US Senior Tax Accountant

About this role

• Prepare and file individual and business tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, etc.) in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Review, update, and approve tax returns prepared by junior team members to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• resolve complex issues and ensure compliance with current tax laws.
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide recommendations.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines.
• Utilize Drake software for tax preparation and filing.
• Use Airtable for client and return management.
• Leverage Financial Cents for workflow and task management.
• Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations through continuing education and training.

About you

• 5+ years of experience preparing U.S. tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Proven experience reviewing and approving tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax regulations.
• Proficiency in Drake software (required).
• Familiarity with Airtable and Financial Cents software (preferred but not required).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• CPA or EA certification is a plus but not required.
