About the Role

We're seeking a Finance & Accounts Officer to join our Corporate Services Team. In this vital role,

you'll support the effective day-to-day management of AAC's finances, ensuring accuracy,

compliance, and timely reporting. You'll also provide essential support for funding claims, payroll

backup, and financial governance.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional who thrives in a

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile income, expenditure, and bank accounts.

  • Manage purchasing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

  • Prepare financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual).

  • Ensure compliance with tax obligations (PAYG, BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax).

  • Support external audits and maintain accurate financial records.

  • Assist with NDIS and SIL claims, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

  • Provide backup payroll support.

  • Maintain and improve financial systems (e.g., MYOB, Excel, Employment Hero).

  • Identify and escalate financial risks in line with governance requirements.

About You

You're a detail-oriented finance professional with strong technical expertise and a collaborative

mindset. You enjoy problem-solving, can work under pressure, and can clearly communicate

financial information to stakeholders with varying levels of financial literacy.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in bookkeeping and/or finance.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in bookkeeping and accounts roles.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience with MYOB.

  • Strong financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit experience.

  • Knowledge of Australian financial laws and NDIS requirements.

  • Advanced skills in Excel and other accounting software.

  • Current NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain).
