Job Summary:

The QA Officer ensures that all bakery products meet established quality, safety, and hygiene standards from raw material receipt to finished goods. This role monitors production processes, conducts inspections, and implements food safety protocols to guarantee consistent product quality and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Assurance & Food Safety

  2. Monitor raw material quality, verify supplier documentation, and ensure proper storage.

  3. Inspect production processes (mixing, proofing, baking, cooling, packaging) to maintain product consistency.
  4. Conduct quality checks on finished products (taste, texture, appearance, weight, shelf life).

  5. Implement and monitor HACCP, GMP, and food safety compliance.

  6. Documentation & Compliance

  7. Maintain QA records (batch reports, inspection logs, corrective action reports).

  8. Ensure proper product labeling, allergen declarations, and traceability.

  9. Assist in internal and external audits.

  10. Process Control & Continuous Improvement

  11. Identify deviations from quality standards and initiate corrective/preventive actions.

  12. Work with production teams to improve efficiency while maintaining quality.

  13. Train staff on hygiene, sanitation, and quality control practices.

  14. Health, Safety & Hygiene

  15. Ensure production staff follow personal hygiene and safety protocols.

  16. Oversee sanitation of equipment, tools, and production areas.
  17. Monitor pest control, waste disposal, and environmental cleanliness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or related field.
  • Experience in QA/QC within bakery, food manufacturing, or related industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Interested applicant will be assigned in Malagamot, Panacan, Davao City
