Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Associate will be responsible for processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices and payments to ensure accurate and timely disbursement of hospital expenses. The role supports the finance department in maintaining compliance with accounting standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements in the Philippines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, verify, and process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and supplier billings for accuracy and completeness.
  • Match invoices with purchase orders, receiving reports, and other supporting documents.
  • Prepare payment vouchers and ensure timely settlement of hospital obligations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date AP records in the accounting system.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in coordination with suppliers and internal departments.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and AP reports.
  • Support compliance with BIR requirements, including proper VAT, withholding tax, and other statutory filings related to payables.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and safeguard sensitive financial data.
  • Provide assistance during audits (internal and external).

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Accounting, Finance, or related business course.
  • At least 6 months of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with Philippine taxation (VAT, EWT) and BIR compliance is an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting systems (experience with ERP or hospital management systems is a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to coordinate effectively with suppliers and hospital departments.
