Junior Product Manager
As a Junior Product Manager at Kindred, you'll work closely with the Product Lead, engineers, designers, and other cross-functional teams to develop digital and in-clinic service solutions that enhance our patients' healthcare experience and empower our care teams. This role isn't just about features; it's about crafting a cohesive, delightful, and highly effective healthcare journey that keeps patients coming back.
Mission 1: Turn Feedback into Actual Improvements
You'll help the organization listen deeply — to patients, clinic staff, support teams, and even other internal teams — and turn that feedback into clear signals that lead to action. Whether it's analyzing user feedback, researching competitors, or contributing to roadmap discussions, your role is to help define what problems we should solve and why. This role is about understanding the underlying needs of our patients and care providers and to close the loop: track what's not working, surface what needs fixing, and make sure the right people see and act on it.
What you'll do:
Design and maintain an end-to-end feedback system — across support, clinics, surveys, user research, and digital tools.
- Translate raw feedback into meaningful insight for product, operations, and leadership.
- Coordinate a regular review rhythm (e.g. monthly CX insights, clinic feedback sync) that leads to prioritization.
- Close the loop: track which feedback was acted on, and which still needs resolution.
- Contribute to the creation of product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and ideation workshops with the product and engineering teams.
Success Looks Like:
Your research contributions directly inform the definition of at least 1-2 new features or improvements each quarter.
- You consistently provide clear and well-documented insights that other team members find valuable.
- You actively participate in product strategy discussions, asking insightful questions that challenge assumptions.
Mission 2: Facilitate Product Development & Delivery
You'll be an essential link in bringing product concepts to life, working closely with engineering, design, QA, and non-technical teams. From sprint planning to daily stand-ups, your role is to help ensure smooth execution, clear communication, and timely delivery of high-quality features.
What you'll do:
Collaborate with design to ensure user stories are translated into intuitive and effective user interfaces.
- Work with engineering teams during sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Assist in prioritizing backlog items in coordination with product and engineering leads.
- Support the QA process, including participation in user acceptance testing (UAT) and bug triaging.
- Help prepare and maintain product documentation for internal teams (e.g., FAQs, training materials).
Success Looks Like:
Product features you supported are delivered on time and meet defined acceptance criteria.
- Engineers and designers consistently find your inputs helpful and clear.
- You proactively identify and help resolve minor roadblocks in the development process.
Mission 3: Monitor Product Performance & Support Iteration
You'll help us understand how our products are performing in the real world, gathering data and feedback to drive continuous improvement. Your job is to track key metrics, analyze user behavior, and help surface insights that lead to informed decisions for future iterations. This goes beyond just looking at numbers—it's about connecting data to user experience and business outcomes.
What you'll do:
Assist in tracking and analyzing key product performance metrics (e.g., usage, engagement, conversion).
- Gather and synthesize feedback from various channels (customer support, user surveys, clinic staff).
- Help identify trends, issues, and opportunities based on product data and user feedback.
- Support the creation of reports and dashboards to communicate product performance.
- Participate in post-launch reviews to assess outcomes and identify lessons learned.
Success Looks Like:
You regularly provide data points or insights that contribute to product optimization decisions.
- You help identify at least one area for improvement based on data analysis each quarter.
- Teams rely on your ability to retrieve and present basic product performance information.
The Bigger Idea: These three missions form a continuous loop: Discover & Define → Build & Deliver → Monitor & Iterate → Refine & repeat. Your job is to actively contribute to keeping that loop healthy and humming, not just so we move faster, but so we build products that truly make a difference for our patients and care teams.
Growth Path: This role is designed to grow into an Associate Product Manager or Product Manager, depending on your strengths and contributions. You'll gain:
- Direct exposure to the full product lifecycle and strategy.
- Cross-functional collaboration skills with engineering, design, and operations.
- Practical experience in user research, data analysis, and agile product development.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in a technology product-related role, or a strong demonstrated interest in product management (e.g., internships, personal projects, relevant coursework).
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive, curious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using (or learning) tools like Jira, Confluence, Google Sheets, or similar.
- Bonus points if: you have SQL skills, you have a strong point of view and are not afraid to share it
