Role Purpose:

The Accounting Lead/Manager is accountable for Samgyupsalamat's accurate, timely, and complete accounting operations. This includes ensuring all accounting transactions, AR and AP, and payroll data are properly recorded and consolidated into monthly financial reports.

Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations Oversight

  • Supervise accounting staff, AP/AR, and payroll accounting processes.

  • Manage daily journal entries, sales, cost of sales, and inventory encoding, fixed asset lapsing, and expense tracking.

  • Own month-end close, including schedules and adjusting entries.

Financial Statement Preparation

  • Consolidate income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of inter-branch and consolidated reports.

Disbursement & Reconciliation Control

  • Monitor accounts payable aging and schedule vendor payments.

  • Ensure monthly SLP report (VAT) submission to Finance and Compliance Lead.

  • Reconcile store sales vs. deposits weekly and resolve discrepancies.

  • Manage monthly bank reconciliation.

Internal Process Compliance

  • Implement and reinforce internal SOPs (e.g., COA use, voucher control).

  • Coordinate with the Finance and Compliance Lead for audit documentation.

Scorecard Measurables (KPIs)

KPI Target

Days to close monthly books ≤ 10 working days.

Financial statement accuracy 100% (no reclass needed)

AP processing on-time rate ≥ 95%

AR processing on-time rate ≥ 95%

Store reconciliation rate 100% by T+2

Qualifications:

  • CPA preferred but not required

  • Minimum 4 years in accounting, with F&B or retail experience

  • Experience supervising accounting staff

  • Advanced Excel and accounting system knowledge (Odoo, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.)

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
