Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
  • Maintain and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate accounting staff; foster continuous learning and team development.
  • Coordinate external audits and act as a liaison with auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Implement and maintain accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies.
Qualifications:

Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
  • CPA, CMA, or other relevant certification (preferred)

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
