Job Summary

We are seeking a Site Civil Engineer to oversee and ensure the successful execution of all civil engineering-related works for the MTerra Solar Project, a large-scale utility solar development in Nueva Ecija. The Site Civil Engineer will be responsible for supervising on-site civil works, verifying compliance with approved plans and engineering standards, and ensuring that health, safety, and quality standards are met. The role requires close collaboration with contractors, consultants, and other engineering disciplines to ensure coordinated and efficient project delivery.

This role is ideally suited for professionals with experience in infrastructure or energy projects, especially in solar or renewable energy developments.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Supervision and Quality Control

  2. Monitor and supervise all civil construction works on-site, including site preparation, earthworks, foundations, roadworks, drainage, and structural components.

  3. Ensure compliance with approved technical drawings, design specifications, engineering codes, and quality standards.

  4. Oversee and coordinate activities of contractors and subcontractors performing civil works.

  5. Technical Validation and Documentation

  6. Review and verify technical drawings and design documents for accuracy and feasibility on-site.

  7. Maintain daily site records, progress reports, inspection logs, and other project documentation.

  8. Identify and report any deviations from the design or construction specifications.

  9. Coordination and Communication

  10. Collaborate with other engineering teams (e.g., electrical, mechanical) to resolve design or execution issues.

  11. Participate in coordination meetings with contractors, EPC representatives, consultants, and internal project teams.

  12. Provide timely updates to site management regarding project status, risks, and necessary adjustments.

  13. Safety and Compliance

  14. Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and company policies on-site.

  15. Conduct regular site safety checks and promote a proactive safety culture.

  16. Report and address safety violations or concerns immediately.

  17. Reporting

  18. Prepare and submit periodic site progress reports and updates to project management.

  19. Assist in tracking milestones, identifying delays or bottlenecks, and recommending corrective actions.
  20. Support documentation requirements for inspections, audits, and final project handover.
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Civil Engineer (PRC)
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in civil construction, ideally within the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors
  • Prior experience in solar farm or renewable energy projects is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies, materials, and standards (e.g., DPWH, ACI, ASTM)
  • Familiarity with construction supervision, QA/QC processes, and site documentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with AutoCAD or project management tools is a plus
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
  • Willing to be assigned full-time on-site in Gapan, Nueva Ecija for the duration of the project
