We are seeking an experienced Finance Professional to join our Nature and Climate advisory practice specializing in the financial risk and feasibility assessment of carbon and nature-based projects. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in project finance, investment analysis, or risk assessment, particularly those seeking to pivot into the growing fields of carbon markets and climate + nature finance.

This role will work closely with the Carbon Markets Lead to deliver advisory engagements, guide clients through investment decision-making, and help evolve our internal tools and methodologies. Prior exposure to carbon or nature-based projects is an advantage, but deep subject matter expertise is not required. What matters most is your ability to apply strong financial and analytical skills in a new and dynamic context.

Your Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Carbon Markets Lead on project assessments, opportunity pursuits, and client delivery, helping shape technical approaches and frameworks
• Lead the assessment of the financial and risk dimensions of carbon/climate and nature-based investments as required in client engagement advisory. Take ownership of delivering high-quality assessments –including pre-feasibility and due diligence phases – while coordinating closely with the Carbon Markets Lead for technical and market inputs. Specifically:
• (1) Assess investment returns of carbon projects, carbon prices, and project sensitivity to market and policy shifts.
• (2) Evaluate bankability and commercial risks, including offtake agreement structures, revenue predictability, and counterparty risk.
• (3) Synthesize inputs into clear go/no-go recommendations or investment narratives.
• Contribute to the evolution of proprietary tools, frameworks, and methodologies to assess project risk and opportunity in carbon and nature finance projects.
• Monitor emerging trends in carbon markets and nature finance; translate developments into actionable insights for clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with various actors in the carbon and nature-based solutions ecosystem – including project developers, investors, regulators, people's organizations, and local communities
• Perform other related tasks as deemed necessary by immediate supervisor.

Job Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a strong advantage.
• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally from one or more of the following areas:
• (1) Project finance, structured finance, or credit risk (especially in banking or investment);
• (2) Asset management or investment strategy development (strategic asset allocation; investment risk management)
• (3) Sustainability or climate strategy consulting;
• (4) Carbon project development, impact investing, or development finance.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client advisory skills.
• Familiarity with carbon markets and environmental project mechanisms is a strong plus, but not a requirement.
• Must be based in the Philippines and report to hiring office location via hybrid set-up
