Backend Software Engineer – Logic & System Integration

Location: Alabang, Philippines | Schedule: Dayshift | Work Setup: Hybrid

Reports to: Tech Lead, Digital Experience Platforms

Role Overview

  • Develop backend logic, workflows, and integrations for the CENS platform powering digital notification services.
  • Collaborate with API Architect and frontend team to build scalable, secure, and maintainable backend services using Azure Functions and other cloud-native components.
  • Support a high-impact digital platform in the fast-paced semiconductor industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and extend backend services in Azure Functions and serverless architecture to support CENS features.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers on Vercel-based rendering strategies and Uniform-driven dynamic content needs.
  • Implement business logic and workflows, including user management, notification orchestration, and email flows.
  • Integrate with internal systems such as Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Fabric, following established patterns and data flows.
  • Maintain backend code quality, documentation, logging, and error handling.
  • Work closely with frontend teams to deliver cohesive end-to-end functionality and enable rapid iteration.
  • Contribute to scalability, compliance, and system resilience improvements.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and code reviews.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Strong experience in building cloud-native services using Azure Functions or similar serverless platforms.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design, OAuth2 authentication flows, and backend security best practices.
  • Experience with event-driven patterns and Azure services (Service Bus, SendGrid, Blob Storage).
  • Familiarity with composable architecture and tools such as and Vercel (advantageous).
  • Understanding of scalable backend design principles.
