Job Summary:

The Finance & Accounting Supervisor will manage and support financial and accounting operations. He/She will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and assisting in financial planning and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting

  • Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, journal vouchers, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounts.
  • Process vendor invoices, payments, and employee reimbursements.
  • Monitor accounts payable/receivable and manage aging reports.
  • Assist with audits (internal and external) by providing necessary documentation.

Finance

  • Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare financial reports such as profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Support in cost control analysis and financial modeling.
  • Maintain records for tax and statutory compliance (e.g., TDS, GST, VAT, Income Tax).
  • Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for transactions and reconciliations.

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Help implement improvements in financial processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field (Master's or CPA is a plus).
  • At least 7 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in a fast-paced and/or start-up environment.
