PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary duties and responsibilities of a Data Analyst include:

  1. **Data Collection and Cleaning:** Collecting data from various sources, such as databases, spreadsheets, and APIs, and ensuring the data is clean, accurate, and reliable for analysis.

  2. **Data Analysis and Interpretation:** Analyzing data using statistical methods, data mining techniques, and data visualization to extract meaningful insights and trends.

  3. **Data Visualization and Reporting:** Creating data visualizations, charts, and reports to present findings in a clear and understandable manner to stakeholders.

  4. **Data Quality Management:** Ensuring data integrity and accuracy by identifying and addressing data quality issues and anomalies.

  5. **Business Insights:** Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making and drive business improvements.

  6. **Data Exploration:** Exploring and identifying patterns, trends, and opportunities within the data to uncover valuable information.

  7. **Performance Monitoring:** Tracking and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success and effectiveness of business initiatives.

  8. **Data-driven Recommendations:** Using data analysis to make data-driven recommendations for process optimization, product improvements, or cost-saving measures.

  9. **Ad Hoc Analysis:** Conducting ad hoc data analysis to address specific business questions or challenges as they arise.

  10. **Data Privacy and Security:** Ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and handling sensitive data securely.

  11. **Data Tool Proficiency:** Using data analysis tools, such as SQL, Excel, Python, R, or data visualization tools like Tableau, to manipulate and analyze data efficiently.

  12. **Data Storytelling:** Communicating data findings effectively to stakeholders through presentations or reports to influence decision-making.

  13. **Cross-functional Collaboration:** Collaborating with teams across different departments to understand data needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.

  14. **Continuous Learning:** Staying updated with the latest data analysis techniques, tools, and best practices to enhance analytical skills and knowledge.

  15. **And such other tasks that may be assigned from time to time**

JOB SPECIFICATION:

Academic Qualification:

A bachelor's degree in a field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline is often the minimum requirement.
