DATA ANALYST

Your role and work environment

As a Data Analyst you'll be responsible for activities that support the creation of dashboards and reports and the analysis of data in support of decision making. It has a key role in supporting the ING's global data management strategy and is focused on providing business insights through the analysis of data across the bank.

As a Data Analyst you are not afraid of handling and analysing highly comple data. You are great at converting this data into relevant dashboards, reports and insights. By presenting these findings effectively you support stakeholders in important decision-making. As you will be operating in a comple stakeholder environment it's important you can prioritise information and insight needs. You are an energetic, motivating person who can work as part of a multidisciplinary team and who can also work independently, think and act out of the bo and take accountability. And you contribute to the ING One Agile Way of Working and safeguard the Orange Code.

Your key responsibilities

As Data Analyst:

You analyse comple

• Data issues that go beyond squad and/or tribe boundaries, with a view to designing complete solutions.
• You collect relevant data, analyse and report. You clean up and process raw data, correlate different types of data and are able to recognize patterns.
  You interpret data, analyse results and deliver e- cellently substantiated data analyses using standard techniques and tools, which lead to improved business decisions or better data quality.
• You work with large amounts of data: facts, figures, and number crunching. You will need to see through the data and analyse it to find conclusions. This by data-mining activities, in-depth data analysis, validating by combining and interpreting data.
• You support tribes and squads in their decision-making by describing and visualizing discovered insights and predictions and advise your business partners on data and insight analysis, commercial opportunities and market developments.
• You identify and define new data improvement opportunities.
• You introduce knowledge of best practices from inside and outside of ING. You contribute towards optimum reuse of solutions.
  You ensure that lessons learned and (best and net) practices from your assignments are made available to everyone. You actively work on deepening and broadening the overall knowledge and e- perience.
• You continuously improve the way you work, and you strive to work as a high-performing team.

We are looking for

We are looking for an energetic and driven epert with passion for data (management) and with strong analytical capabilities who uses state-of-the-art methods and techniques for data analysis. You have integral, domain-eceeding knowledge Data Analysis in one or more areas of the banking business.

You are an ecellent communicator and able to build bridges between different stakeholders. You are able to convincingly put forward your proposals and are a real team player in reaching broad agreement on the road to follow. In this way, you can contribute to delivering standardised, uniform and fully adapted solutions to comple business issues and processes.

Skillset:

• You have a college degree in e.g. Mathematics, Computer/Data Science, Information Management or Statistics
  You have integral, cross-domain knowledge and e- perience
• Attention to Detail: Data is precise. You make sure you are vigilant in your analysis to come to correct conclusions
• You are a strong communicator and are able to present your analyses in a clear manner
  E- cellent English written and verbal communication skills
  You have knowledge of and e- perience in Data Analysis in the financial services industry
• You can create your impactful Data story via report and/or dashboard in Power BI or Cognos.
• Basic skills in Python or R is good to have.
  You actively keep up your professional knowledge and translate e- ternal trends into applicable knowledge
• You take responsibility to get the work done
• You actively ask for help and feedback and are not afraid to give feedback
• You easily adapt to a new environment
