Job Summary

The QA Tester (Systems) plays a key role in validating the quality, stability, and performance of software applications through both manual and automated testing. This position includes developing and maintaining automation frameworks, executing structured test plans, identifying and resolving defects, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable product delivery. The role requires experience with automation tools, strong attention to detail, and a focus on continuously enhancing testing practices.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Strategy

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to review requirements and establish effective test strategies.
  • Prioritize test cases based on risk, complexity, and business impact.
  • Recommend automation solutions to improve efficiency and coverage.

Test Design & Development

  • Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Develop scalable and maintainable automation frameworks.
  • Manage test environments and test data to ensure consistent and reliable execution.

Test Execution

  • Run automated test suites for regression, functional, smoke, and performance testing.
  • Perform manual testing for exploratory scenarios, usability checks, and cases not covered by automation.
  • Validate compatibility across different browsers, platforms, and devices.

Defect Management & Reporting

  • Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
  • Re-test resolved issues and verify fixes in future releases.
  • Deliver clear, concise, and actionable test reports to stakeholders.

Continuous Integration & Process Improvement

  • Incorporate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Participate in peer reviews of automated test scripts.
  • Stay up to date with new tools, methodologies, and best practices in software testing.

Documentation

  • Write and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts in alignment with product requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, testing types, and defect life cycles.
  • Experience in designing and executing test cases using defect tracking tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
