Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior QA Tester with at least 1 year of experience in software quality assurance and user acceptance testing (UAT). The role involves supporting the QA team in ensuring applications meet business and technical requirements through manual testing, defect reporting, and close collaboration with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute test cases and test scripts based on business requirements and specifications.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate functionality, usability, and performance from an end-user perspective.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Participate in regression testing and support release validation activities.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results.
  • Provide feedback on usability and user experience during UAT.
  • Support overall QA best practices and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • At least 1 year of QA testing experience, with hands-on exposure to UAT.
  • Familiarity with SDLC, STLC, and defect management processes.
  • Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Azure DevOps).
  • Basic understanding of software development and testing methodologies.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL for basic database validation.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Job Type: Fixed term

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: Php21, Php25,000.00 per month
