We are seeking for a Business Development Administrator to join our Academic team in supporting a variety of activities related to Book/Journal Special Sales, Advertising, International Rights, Permissions, and Third-party Content Licensing and e-distribution partnerships.

What will you do as a Business Development Administrator?

Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager, your accountabilities will include:

  • Work with teams across the organization including Legal, Customer Services, Credit, Compliance, and the broader Sales, Marketing, and Editorial teams.
  • Regularly assist colleagues in different regions to improve best-practise for BD processes and help to move individual projects forward.
  • Populate BD systems and keep BD data up-to-date.
  • Maintain live sales tracking documents, monitor shared mailboxes and assist with any invoicing or reporting.
  • Support the team with any other activities that fall within the Business Development remit.

What makes you the ideal candidate for this role?

An ideal candidate has the following qualities:

Essential:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office tools, including Shared Mailbox and Teams, advanced skills in MS Excel and Power BI for reporting and data analysis.
  • Solid understanding of business development, sales operations, and market research.
  • Experienced with databases, financial systems (e.g., SAP), and sales support technologies.
  • Adaptable, resourceful, and able to work both independently and collaboratively; skilled in multitasking and problem-solving.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in Sales, Customer Services or Marketing in an Education/Publishing Company
