Role Description

Senior Accounting Specialist

As a Senior Accounting Specialist, you will ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with local regulations. You will work closely with various teams, provide insights on accounting and tax matters, and help achieve the organization's financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle month-end closing activities, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, reconciliations, and tax calculations.
  • Support year-end audit, coordinating with external auditors and preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
  • Coordinate with tax authorities and handle BIR LOAs and other regulatory inquiries.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, workflows, and compliance activities.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal teams, external auditors, and tax authorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in audit or accounting, with expertise in one or more areas: General Ledger Accounting, Financial Statement Preparation, External Audit, or Taxation and Compliance (BIR, SEC, PSE).
  • Preferably with experience in the Banking/Finance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Results-driven, adaptable, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
