Position Overview

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for leading the end-to-end procurement operations of Fagokho Corporation and its affiliated brands. This role will oversee vendor management, cost optimization, strategic sourcing, and inventory planning, ensuring the continuous and cost-efficient supply of goods and materials that meet operational and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and cost targets.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and service providers.
  • Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations to ensure compliance and reliability.

Cost & Contract Management

  • Drive cost efficiency through supplier consolidation, bulk purchasing, and contract negotiations.
  • Prepare and manage supplier contracts, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal standards.
  • Track and report cost savings, price variances, and procurement KPIs.

Inventory & Supply Planning

  • Coordinate with Operations, Commissary and Warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent supply disruptions.
  • Monitor purchase forecasts and demand trends to ensure timely availability of materials and ingredients.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance purchasing efficiency and control.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Finance to ensure accurate budgeting, cost reporting, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain and Operations teams to source high-quality ingredients that meet brand standards.
  • Support new store openings, product launches, and special projects with procurement requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • 10 years of solid experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the F&B, retail, manufacturing or hospitality industry.
  • Strong background in vendor negotiation, cost management, and strategic sourcing.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
