About the Role

You will build and maintain reliable backend systems. You will work on API development, data handling, and system performance. You will support product, frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver stable features at speed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain backend applications using Python and frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI
  • Design, optimize, and secure REST APIs
  • Use SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis
  • Implement Celery for task queues and distributed processing
  • Apply authentication, authorization, and security best practices
  • Write automated tests and perform code reviews
  • Resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks
  • Maintain clear technical documentation
  • Work within Agile workflows including planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • Three to five years of backend development experience
  • Strong Python skills with experience in Django, Flask, or FastAPI
  • Hands-on experience with Celery
  • Strong SQL and NoSQL database experience
  • Understanding of REST APIs and microservices
  • Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms
  • Skilled in Git and CI or CD pipelines
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork

Preferred Certifications

  • AWS Developer or Solutions Architect
  • Python or Django certifications
  • DevOps, Docker, or Kubernetes certifications
