About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Backend Developer to join our team and help build and maintain our healthcare technology platform. You'll work with modern PHP and Laravel to develop secure, scalable backend systems that manage sensitive health data. What You'll Do

* Develop, test, and maintain server-side logic using PHP and the Laravel framework.

* Design, query, and optimize relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB).

* Build and maintain secure, well-documented RESTful APIs.

* Participate in code reviews and collaborate with team members using Git.

* Assist in designing database schemas and creating ERDs/schema diagrams.

* Help implement cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for deployment and scaling.

* Apply security best practices to protect Protected Health Information (PHI) in line with HIPAA requirements.

* Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.

What You'll Bring

* 3+ years of professional experience with PHP and Laravel.

* Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB) and ability to write efficient queries.

* Experience building RESTful APIs.

* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

* Basic understanding of application performance and scalability concepts.

* Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and experience or strong interest in implementing PHI security safeguards.

* Proficiency with Git version control.

* Ability to interpret and contribute to ERDs and schema diagrams.

* Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Nice to Have

* Exposure to frontend frameworks like React or

* Experience with testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Pest).

* Familiarity with Docker or CI/CD pipelines.

* Previous work in healthcare tech or other regulated industries.
