Founded by highly experienced principals and backed by a European asset manager, you will be joining at an exciting time with an ability to meaningfully contribute to the growth and success of the business. As a member of the business development team, you will work closely with the principals, advisors, and partners, and will play a vital role in developing our business in the Philippines.
The role of the BD Manager in the Philippines is to develop EaaS project opportunities (both greenfield and brownfield) as well as manage the day-to-day interactions with our partners, customers and other local counterparties in the Philippines. As part of developing the EaaS project opportunities, the BD Manager shall work in close conjunction with AE's technical, legal and investment teams as well as our local partners. [KM2]
Main duties
- To successfully develop new EaaS projects for industrial and commercial customers in line with AE's Corporate Solutions Strategy (both greenfield and brownfield);;
- To prepare and write the proposals for customers in accordance with AE Corporate Solutions Strategy, investment process and project-specific requirements;
- Manage day-to-day interactions with our partners, customers and other local counterparties in the Philippines;
- Project delivery and asset management support as required, in close conjunction with other AE teams, local partners, etc.;
- Regular reporting on project development, pipeline management, partner engagement, etc with respect to activities in the Philippines;
- Business management support where required including finance, IT, etc.; and
- Active participation in an entrepreneurial, international and dynamic team focused on value creation for our investors, customers and partners.
Work duties typically include:
- To originate, develop and execute to contract potential projects that fit AE's strategy;
- To develop a local network and to maintain the relationship among potential local customers and partners (equipment manufacturers, engineering firms, EPC contractors, O&M companies, etc..);
- To monitor regulatory changes and advice management on the impact of such changes on the company's business;
- To coordinate and work with other related team members such as: technical, project finance, legal, etc in the stage of project developing;
- To be responsible for the negotiation of contracts with customers, EPC contractors, O&M contractors, etc.; and
- To support development, delivery and operations for projects in the Philippines, in close conjunction with AE teams and partners.
Other Position requirements
- Job located in Manilla (Philippines)
- Travelling in the Philippines, and occasionally in Southeast Asia;
- Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent;
- Minimum 10 years successful experience in developing EaaS to industrial customers in the Philippines;
- Fully proficient in Filipino and English;
- Spirit of dedication and teamwork;
- Resourceful and self-driven;
- Demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills; and
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
