About the role

As the Learning and Development Manager at Discovery Samal (Samal Shores Inc), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the learning and development strategy for our growing organization. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs that align with our company's strategic objectives and empower our employees to reach their full potential. This is a full-time position based in Samal, Davao del Norte.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements across the organization
  • Develop and deliver high-impact training programs, workshops, and e-learning solutions to address the identified needs
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand their specific training requirements and ensure the delivery of customized learning solutions
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives and continuously improve the learning and development offerings
  • Maintain a learning management system and other training resources to facilitate seamless access to learning opportunities
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to support the professional development of our employees
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in learning and development to drive innovation

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a learning and development or training role, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Demonstrated expertise in needs assessment, curriculum design, and the delivery of effective training programs
  • Proficient in using learning management systems, e-learning authoring tools, and other training technologies
  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate employees at all levels
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address learning challenges
  • Passionate about continuous learning and employee development
