About the role

Discovery Samal (Samal Shores Inc) is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee and lead our housekeeping operations across our luxury resort on Samal Island, Davao del Norte. This is a full-time position based on-site at our beautiful beachfront property.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and direct the housekeeping team to ensure all guest rooms, public areas and facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • Develop and implement housekeeping policies, procedures and training programs to drive continuous improvement
  • Oversee the procurement and inventory control of housekeeping supplies, linens and equipment
  • Monitor and report on housekeeping performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimisation
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of housekeeping activities
  • Foster a positive, service-oriented culture within the housekeeping team
  • Recruit, train, schedule and supervise the housekeeping staff

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Housekeeping Manager or in a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry
  • Strong operational knowledge of housekeeping best practices and the ability to drive process improvements
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proficient in using housekeeping management software and technology
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional guest satisfaction
