To ensure transparency, accountability, and measurable impact, we are building a dedicated Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) team that will lead the development of digital systems for environmental data collection, analysis, and reporting. Position Summary: As the Senior Data Analytics Manager, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of analytics solutions that power the MRV system for Project Caraga. You will oversee a team of senior analysts working across climate, community, and biodiversity domains, ensuring that data-driven insights are aligned with Verra’s VCS AUDef, ARR, and CCB standards. You will also collaborate with engineers, field teams, and external partners to deliver high-quality, standards-compliant monitoring and reporting outputs. Responsibilities: Data Strategy & Operations Lead the development of MRV dashboards and analytics tools using platforms such as Looker, Google Earth Engine (GEE), Google Cloud Storage (GCS), and BigQuery (GBQ); Translate MRV requirements into scalable data models and visualizations for: Forest protection and patrol monitoring; GHG accounting and leakage management; Community development indices; Biodiversity monitoring (e.g., raptor surveys, transects, mother tree inventory); Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with VCS, CCB, and IPCC standards. Team Leadership & Collaboration Manage and mentor a cross-functional team of senior analysts in: Business Operations Intelligence GHG Accounting Social Data Biodiversity Data Collaborate with the Senior Data Engineer to optimize data pipelines and infrastructure; Coordinate with field teams, GIS specialists, drone pilots, and Indigenous Peoples’ organizations. Reporting & Innovation Lead the generation of consolidated MRV reports across climate, community, and biodiversity domains; Drive innovation in data visualization, predictive analytics, and geospatial intelligence. Ensure timely delivery of analytics outputs for validation, verification, and stakeholder reporting; Perform other duties as assigned by the MRV Lead. Who We’re Looking For Strategic thinker – You can translate complex MRV requirements into scalable analytics systems; Experienced leader – You have a track record of managing high-performing analytics teams; Technically strong – You’re comfortable working across cloud platforms, data pipelines, and visualization tools; Collaborative and communicative – You can engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders; Mission-driven – You’re passionate about using data to drive climate action and environmental integrity. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related field; With at least 10 years of experience in data analytics, and 3 years in a leadership role; Experience in climate, forestry, or sustainability projects is highly desirable.
