About the Role

As a Junior Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records for multiple clients, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and problem-solving discrepancies. You'll work closely with a Senior Bookkeeper and Pod Lead, helping maintain organized, timely, and process-driven financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Record data entries accurately in accounting systems.
  • Process invoices, bills, and expenses.
  • Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and ledgers monthly.
  • Meet deadlines and manage multiple client accounts.
  • Communicate via email and Slack, using a shared alias account per process.
  • Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and checklists.
  • Learn project management tools (e.g., ClickUp) and follow detailed workflows.

Competencies and Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of bookkeeping experience.
  • Basic proficiency in US GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and process adherence.
  • Open to training and following structured workflows.
  • Strong written communication via Slack and email.
  • Deadline-driven, dependable, and capable of working independently.
