MID BACKEND DEVELOPER - PYTHON WITH GCP

Hybrid (tentatively once a week onsite)/ QC / Makati

6 months (high chance of extension)

Dayshift / Day Shift (9 AM – 6 PM)

Requirements:

  • Python Development: 3-5 years of Python development experience
  • Web Frameworks: FastAPI, Django, or Flask proficiency
  • Database Systems: PostgreSQL, experience with ORM libraries
  • Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform services, particularly the ff: BigTable, memoryStore, IAM,

Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Firestore, Cloud Build, Cloud Logging.

  • API Development: RESTful API design, OpenAPI/Swagger documentation
  • Microservices: Containerization with Docker, microservices architecture
  • Containerization: Docker Desktop, Docker Compose for local development
  • Real-time Processing: WebSocket implementation, real-time data handling
  • Message Queues: Pub/Sub, Redis, or similar messaging systems
  • Authentication: JWT, OAuth2, user authentication and authorization
  • Integration experience with the following: Google Maps Platform (Geocoding,
  • Directions API, Distance Matrix), Payment gateways (Maya), Firebase (cloud messaging for push notifications), and SMS services (e.g. twilio or something similar)
  • Knowledgeable in git and branching strategies.
  • Experience and knowledge on the ff are nice to have: Machine learning libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow), CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions), Load testing and performance optimization and Security best practices and compliance

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain optimized and robust APIs and microservices using Python 3.9+ and PostgreSQL
  • Implement integrations with Google Maps, Payment gateways, SMS services and services for push notifications
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanism for the APIs
  • Consume and integrate APIs to the application being developed
  • Configure google cloud services needed for the solution such as Cloud SQL, Cloud Big Table, Cloud logging and Monitoring, Serverless containers, Firestore, memorystore, etc.
  • Help facilitate deployment of development applications
