Role Overview:

As a Backend Developer, you will work with a talented team of developers to create and maintain custom Java-based websites and applications. You'll be involved in everything from technical development to client-facing communication during scrum meetings. While your role will primarily focus on development, you will have the opportunity to grow into leadership roles depending on your performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs using Java and the Spring Framework to support our applications.
  • Content Management: Utilize the MAGNOLIA CMS to implement and manage content-driven applications, ensuring seamless integration between content and backend systems.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Participate in client-facing scrum meetings and collaborate closely with the project team to meet technical requirements and deliver top-quality solutions.
  • Agile Workflow: Participate in agile sprints, utilizing Scrum methodologies to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
  • CI/CD Maintenance: Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes, ensuring faster release cycles and better collaboration.
  • Client Interaction: Engage in occasional client communication to understand requirements and provide updates during project cycles.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in backend development with Java, and Spring Framework.
  • SQL proficiency for database management.
  • General experience with CI/CD pipelines, and Docker for containerization is preferred.
  • Experience working in Agile and Scrum teams.
  • Exposure to MAGNOLIA CMS is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies such as Alpine JS, FreeMarker, and JavaScript.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills—comfortable with client-facing meetings and collaborating across teams.
