Mid Level Developers

Position: Mid-Level Developer 

Department: Systems Development 

Reports to: Section Head and Department Head 

Job Overview:

The Mid-Level Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications in accordance with project requirements and company standards. The role requires strong technical skills, analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to producing high-quality, maintainable code. The Mid-Level Developer works closely with senior developers, project managers, business analysts, and QA teams to deliver well-engineered solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Software Development

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code based on technical specifications and project requirements.
• Develop new features, enhancements, and modules across assigned applications.
• Maintain and update existing codebase to improve performance, stability, and usability.
• Ensure code follows industry best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines.

2. System Design & Architecture

• Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Analyze functional and technical requirements to create appropriate design documents.
• Apply sound design patterns and scalable architecture principles.

3. Testing & Quality Assurance

• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and debugging to ensure high levels of quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with QA teams to address defects and ensure timely resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

4. Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with project managers, team leads, and cross-functional teams to meet delivery timelines.
• Provide technical input during planning, estimation, and sprint reviews.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation (e.g., user guides, API documentation, system flowcharts).

5. Problem Solving & Support

• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical issues in development and production environments.
• Suggest improvements and optimizations for system performance and user experience.
• Provide support for deployments, releases, and system maintenance activities.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Experience

• Typically 3–5 years of hands-on experience in software development.
• Proven experience with the company's primary technology stack.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, PHP, JavaScript, Python).
• Experience with frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) or backend frameworks (.NET, Laravel, Spring, ).
• Knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Understanding of APIs, web services, and RESTful integration.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, and DevOps concepts is a plus.
