Senior Backend Engineer

About the Role:

Join a cross-functional Agile team to design, develop, and maintain reliable backend applications using modern technologies. You'll collaborate closely with your Squad Lead and peers to deliver secure, high-quality, and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs
  • Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
  • Ensure code quality, security, and scalability following OOP and clean coding standards
  • Collaborate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Mentor junior engineers and participate in technical assessments

Qualifications:

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree Graduate or higher
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Java (version 8 or higher)
  • Strong proficiency in Spring Boot, OOP, RESTful API development, and Microservices architecture
  • Experience with Git and automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, etc.)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Good to Have:

  • Knowledge of SQL, JPA, Hibernate, or similar database technologies
  • Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and Azure DevOps
  • Understanding of cloud environments and IT risk management

Work Setup:
Hybrid (1–2x onsite/week, Day Shift)

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the Philippines.

Location Preference:
Makati City

are preferred for easier onsite collaboration.
