Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analytics Specialist to join our team in driving data-driven decision-making across key financial operations. This role is critical in analyzing business performance, customer behavior, risk trends, and operational efficiency — while ensuring alignment with local regulatory standards in the Philippine financial sector.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for extracting, analyzing, and visualizing data to support strategies across product, marketing, risk, operations, and compliance teams.

Key Responsibilities:Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large sets of data from internal systems (e.g., core banking, loan origination, mobile banking platforms).
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and trend reporting to support business units (e.g., loans, deposits, credit risk, customer engagement).

Business Insights:

  • Identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities across customer segments and product performance.
  • Support strategic planning by providing actionable recommendations backed by data.
  • Collaborate with business teams to interpret data needs and translate them into analytics solutions.

Regulatory & Compliance Analytics:

  • Assist in data preparation for regulatory reporting (e.g., BSP submissions, AMLC data requirements).
  • Ensure data privacy and compliance with the Data Privacy Act and internal data governance policies.

Process Improvement & Forecasting:

  • Use statistical and predictive modeling techniques to improve forecasting and scenario planning.
  • Recommend process improvements based on operational analytics (e.g., reducing turnaround time, improving NPL ratios).

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 1–3 years experience in a business analytics, data analyst, or business intelligence role.
  • Preferably with exposure to a bank, fintech, or financial services environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL for querying databases.
  • Strong skills in Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
  • Familiarity with data analysis using Excel, Python, or R is a plus.
  • Experience with CRM or core banking systems is an advantage.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
