Data Annotation Specialist (Computer Vision CVAT & Segmentation)

Location: Remote

About The Role
We are seeking a Data Annotation Specialist with hands-on experience using CVAT (Computer Vision Annotation Tool) to create high-quality segmentation datasets. You will play a critical role in preparing labeled data that powers our computer vision models, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency across annotation tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Annotate images and videos using segmentation masks within CVAT.
  • Follow detailed annotation guidelines to ensure consistency and precision across datasets.
  • Review, validate, and refine existing annotations for quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with machine learning engineers and project managers to meet labeling goals and deadlines.
  • Provide feedback to improve annotation guidelines, workflows, and labeling efficiency.
  • Handle sensitive project data responsibly, ensuring confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with CVAT or similar annotation platforms (e.g., Labelbox, Supervisely, VGG Image Annotator).
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across large datasets.
  • Basic familiarity with computer vision concepts (bounding boxes, segmentation, keypoints, etc.).
  • Ability to follow written instructions and guidelines precisely.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and communication).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on remote teams.
