Role Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented
Data Specialist

with a technical background to support our growing data operations team. This role involves managing, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets, improving data accuracy, and supporting automation initiatives that enhance our KYC platform. You will work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure high data quality and consistency. This is a full-time remote role offering professional growth and meaningful work in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from multiple sources to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Support the design and maintenance of automated data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to identify data gaps and implement quality control measures.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support business and compliance needs.
  • Monitor data performance, identify anomalies, and recommend improvements for efficiency.
  • Assist in integrating third-party data sources with internal systems for automation and reporting purposes.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Data Specialist, Data Analyst, or similar role in a technology-driven company.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other data query and transformation languages.
  • Experience working with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams in a distributed environment.

Valued Skills

  • Technical understanding of database systems, APIs, and data integration workflows.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python scripts, Jenkins, Git).
  • Understanding of data privacy and security standards relevant to financial services.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
