Job Overview

Matinloc Island Resort is seeking a Housekeeping Coordinator to support the overall operations of the Housekeeping Department. This role ensures smooth communication between housekeeping staff, front office, and other departments while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, order, and guest satisfaction. The successful candidate will assist in scheduling, inventory control, task assignments, and monitoring the efficiency and quality of housekeeping services throughout the resort.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including room assignments, task distribution, and inspection schedules.
  • Act as a liaison between Housekeeping, Front Office, and other departments to ensure timely room turnovers and special requests.
  • Monitor room status updates in the PMS and ensure accurate reporting of cleaned, inspected, and occupied rooms.
  • Assist in training, guiding, and supporting housekeeping staff to maintain resort cleanliness standards.
  • Oversee inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, guest amenities, and equipment; submit requisitions when needed.
  • Conduct spot checks in guest rooms, public areas, staff housing, and other facilities to ensure quality and hygiene standards are consistently met.
  • Handle guest requests, lost-and-found procedures, and service concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Prepare activity reports, logs, checklists, and documentation required by the department.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, sanitation guidelines, and resort policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred).
  • Experience as a Housekeeping Coordinator, Senior Room Attendant, or similar role in a hotel or resort.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in using hotel PMS, Microsoft Office, and housekeeping management tools.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of handling fast-paced operations.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to be assigned in El Nido, Palawan.
