Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support specialist to provide technical assistance and support to our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing computer systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This role requires excellent communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and a strong foundation in various operating systems and networking concepts. The IT Support position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where problem-solving and technical expertise are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 remote support to end users across Windows and macOS environments.
  • Manage and resolve incidents, service requests, and changes through the Service Desk system.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to:
  • Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
  • Endpoint management with Microsoft Intune
  • User access, identity, and security administration (Azure AD / Entra ID)
  • Network connectivity (basic router/firewall troubleshooting, VPNs)
  • Print services, file shares, and remote desktop environments
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex incidents to Level 3 / senior engineers as needed, ensuring clear handover notes.
  • Assist in onboarding/offboarding users — creating accounts, setting permissions, and configuring devices.
  • Monitor client systems using RMM tools (e.g., NinjaOne, Huntress, Cisco Umbrella) and respond to alerts.
  • Support deployment and compliance of endpoint security, patch management, and backups.
  • Participate in process improvements and knowledge base documentation.

Must Haves:

  • 3+ years of IT support experience, ideally within an MSP or similar environment.
  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and spoken).
  • Proven experience with:
  • Microsoft 365 administration
  • Intune device management
  • Windows 10/11 troubleshooting
  • Basic macOS support
  • Active Directory / Azure AD administration
  • Working knowledge of:
  • Ticketing and RMM tools (e.g., NinjaOne, ConnectWise, Autotask, or similar)
  • Remote support tools (Quick Assist, TeamViewer, AnyDesk, etc.)
  • Security tools (Cisco Umbrella, Huntress, or equivalent)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Desirable Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Experience with SharePoint administration and file migrations.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
  • Experience supporting cloud backup solutions (Veeam, Datto, Acronis, etc.).
  • Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, CompTIA A+ / Network+, or Azure Fundamentals.

Working Environment

  • Work schedule aligned with Sydney business hours (AEST/AEDT).
  • Collaborative environment using Teams and remote management platforms.
