Deskside Support Engineer

The Deskside Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical assistance to end users for hardware, software, and peripheral issues. The role also supports endpoint backup, recovery operations, and basic infrastructure troubleshooting to ensure system availability and data integrity across PSSLAI offices.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Characteristics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Associate degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in desktop support or IT field services.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Modern Desktop Associate preferred.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong working knowledge of Windows OS, MacOS and desktop applications.
  • Basic understanding of networking and system recovery procedures.
  • Experience with backup software and endpoint recovery.
  • Proficient in remote desktop tools and ITSM ticketing platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving, customer service, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in a financial institution environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and common business applications.
