What is the job?

The Vendor Analyst is responsible for documenting, monitoring, and evaluating vendor performance to ensure compliance with company standards, service-level agreements, and cost-effectiveness. The role involves analyzing contracts, managing renewals, identifying risks, and supporting vendor-related decision-making through data-driven insights and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the calendar of contract renewals with a 36-month rolling horizon.
  • Maintain the project and savings tracker for all Vendor Management team activities.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on upcoming contract renewals, including meetings, documentation, and feedback.
  • Document and recommend process improvements for vendor engagement, purchasing, and lifecycle management.
  • Support cost modeling for business cases and assist in software negotiations and vendor communications.
  • Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and IT on supplier due diligence, financial risk rating, and SaaS subscription optimization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative/business field, or equivalent work experience.

  • 2–3 years' experience in purchasing, procurement, or vendor management.
  • Skilled in MS Excel, spreadsheets, vendor management systems/tools, data analysis, reporting, and vendor performance tracking.
  • Strong communication skills, able to engage with senior leaders and C-Suite executives, with clear written and verbal English.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities, and presenting persuasive arguments using numerical modeling.
  • Plus: experience with SaaS subscription/software cost drivers, business process mapping, and change management/process improvement (ADKAR, Lean, Six Sigma, Kubler-Ross)
