JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Analyzes monthly financial statements to determine proper charging of operating revenues and expenditures in accordance with the department's coding guidelines and procedures; ensures that allocable costs and expenses are properly charged to appropriate responsibility centers.
  • Undertakes periodic auditing of general leader journal entries using the general leader batch auditing module of the company's computerized accounting system; prepares necessary adjusting entries and forwards such to the Accounting Manager for approval.
  • Assists the Accounting Manager in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual departmentalized income statements by consolidating accounting data and provides written interpretation of results; monitors and reports on financial performance of individual departments and the division as a whole; recommends corrective actions based on analysis.
  • Participates in studies to improve financial systems
  • Assists special projects and other duties as required such as reconciling monthly account statements and reconciliation of accounts receivable with various third-party payers.
  • Assists with year-end closing activities; assists in the preparation of schedules and analysis required by external auditors for the year-end financial audit
  • Prepares weekly planner on activities to be undertaken and prepares reports on actual results, outputs and accomplishment based on plans at the end of the week; consolidates accomplishment reports into monthly performance reports.
  • Submits periodic reports to superior officers on the operations and activities of work unit with corresponding analysis and recommendations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least two (2) years of work experience
  • Graduate of B.S. in Accountancy
  • Certified Public Accountant
