Job Title: Accounting Supervisor (NAVI)

Department: Finance and Accounting

Reports To: Finance Manager / Accounting Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. This role supervises a team of accountants or accounting staff, supports month-end and year-end close processes, and assists in preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid background in accounting principles and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the accounting team.
  • Monitor and review journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and other accounting documents.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax laws, and internal company policies.
  • Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Provide training, support, and performance feedback to accounting staff.
  • Identify process improvements and recommend efficiency strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred but not required).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
