BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The Assistant Warehouse Supervisor oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of a warehouse facility. Main responsibilities involve coordinating and supervising warehouse staff, ensuring efficient and timely receipt, storage, and shipment of goods, and maintaining a safe and organized working environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervision and Team Management

  • Oversee and manage a team of warehouse employees, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to warehouse staff, ensuring workloads are balanced and deadlines are met.
  • Provide guidance and support to warehouse personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct regular meetings and communicate operational updates to the team.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by implementing proper inventory control procedures.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as purchasing and sales, to ensure seamless inventory flow.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventory checks, and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Optimize warehouse space utilization to maximize storage capacity and efficiency.

Logistics and Shipment

  • Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with transportation providers to arrange efficient and cost-effective shipping solutions.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to prepare and pack orders according to customer requirements.
  • Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and compliance with shipping regulations.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance warehouse efficiency.
  • Streamline workflows, develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs), and train staff accordingly.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) or other software tools to optimize operations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure warehouse performance and productivity.

Health and Safety:

  • Enforce safety regulations and promote a culture of workplace safety among warehouse personnel.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and take corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other relevant regulations.
  • Provide training and education

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, logistics or related field.
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other related software.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php30, Php35,000.00 per month
