The System Administrator will be responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. The role includes installing, supporting, and maintaining servers or other computer systems, planning for and responding to service outages and other problems. Additionally, the sysadmin will participate in technical research and development to enable continuous innovation within the infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)) are advantageous.
  • Driver's License advantageous
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role. Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
  • Manage network servers and technology tools, ensure the network's availability to system users, and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard data and access control to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Proactively monitor system performance, ensure system availability, and reliability, and perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
  • Set up and maintain backup solutions, manage and test data recovery processes, and ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Identify and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, processes, and network schematics.
  • Provide support and training to users on various applications, system-related issues, and network resources.
  • Develop and maintain scripts to automate tasks and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and keep track of all software updates and patches.
