About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Remote Estimator with expertise in Colorbond roofing systems to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for residential and commercial roofing projects using Colorbond materials. This is a remote position, ideal for a self-motivated professional with strong analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review architectural plans, site photos, and specifications to develop accurate roofing estimates
  • Calculate material quantities, labor costs, and timelines for Colorbond roofing installations
  • Prepare and present detailed proposals and quotations to clients
  • Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and suppliers to ensure alignment on project scope and pricing
  • Stay current with Colorbond product lines, pricing, and installation techniques
  • Use digital tools and estimation software to manage and track bids

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in roofing estimation, preferably with Colorbond roofing systems
  • Strong understanding of roofing construction, materials, and Australian building codes
  • Proficiency in estimation tools (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Excel)
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills

Technical Requirements

  • Reliable internet connection
  • Computer with estimation software and communication tools
  • Ability to interpret digital plans and conduct virtual site assessments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in construction estimating or related field
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and cloud-based project management tools
