Junior Estimator

Role Summary

The Junior Estimator supports Scott Coatings' preconstruction efforts by performing digital quantity take-offs, organizing bid documents, assisting in cost breakdowns, and preparing proposal drafts. This is an ideal role for someone early in their construction or estimating career who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow.

Work Schedule: 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM Philippine Time

Work Arrangements: Remote

Essential Functions:

• Perform basic digital quantity take-offs (using Bluebeam or similar tools). It is not necessary to know Bluebeam software; they will train you for it.
• Assist in reviewing drawings, specifications, and scope documents.
• Prepare initial cost breakdowns using Excel templates.
• Organize material and vendor/subcontractor pricing for senior estimators.
• Support the creation and formatting of bid proposals.
• Maintain bid logs, tracking sheets, and follow-up documentation.
• Coordinate virtually with senior estimators and project managers.

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in construction, architecture, engineering, or estimating.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PDF markup tools.
• Ability to read basic construction drawings (training provided for advanced scopes).
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication.
• Willingness to learn advanced estimating tools and processes.
