
Legal Assistant

A proactive and detailed-oriented Legal Assistant who will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support, with a primary focus on contract management and departmental organization. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the legal department by overseeing contract lifecycles, maintaining organized legal files, and assisting in the development and implementation of internal policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing comprehensive administrative support to legal professionals.
- Provide administrative support to the Legal Team, including document preparation, filing, and calendar management.
- Assist in drafting, proofreading, and formatting legal documents such as contracts, memos, and correspondences
- Maintain and organize legal files, records and databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with retention policies.
- Coordinates with internal departments and external stakeholders regarding legal documentation and deadlines.
- Support the preparation and submission of legal filings, permits, and regulatory submission as needed.
- Assisting with legal research and document preparation.
- Prepares preliminary work in rendering legal opinion/legal review.
- Handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Collaborating on company initiatives, including drafting and implementing company policies.
- Monitoring contracts, obligations arising from contracts, and key deadlines.
- Performs other related tasks that may be assigned by superiors from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College Graduate
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- With at least 2 years' experience
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Familiarity with legal terminology, documentation, and office procedures.
- Willingness to learn and contribute to policymaking
- Previous experience in legal setting is preferred but not required.
