About The PositionWe are seeking a highly skilled Production Support Engineer to join our team and provide technical support for Matrix's advanced risk management platform. This role involves ensuring system stability, resolving production issues, and delivering exceptional service to our clients in a mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2/3 support for production environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to application, infrastructure, and integrations.
- Monitor system health, logs, and alerts to proactively identify and address potential problems.
- Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, and Customer Success teams to implement fixes and enhancements.
- Manage incident response and root cause analysis for production outages.
- Document solutions, create knowledge base articles, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in on-call rotation for 24x7 support coverage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in production support or application support roles.
- Strong knowledge of Java-based applications and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in SQL and database management (PostgreSQL, Cassandra preferred).
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
- Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP protocols, and networking fundamentals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and messaging systems (RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ).
- Knowledge of monitoring tools and log analysis (e.g., ELK stack, Splunk).
- Exposure to machine learning concepts and fraud prevention technologies.
