About the role

This full-time Procurement Manager-Import position offers an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic team at Corporate Resources Group (CRG) Services Corp./ Texicon Group. Based in Santolan Pasig City Metro Manila, you will play a key role in all commercial import procurement activities. This includes sourcing, price negotiation, supplier performance management, and ensuring that all imported materials (RM, PM, chemicals, equipment, etc.) meet commercial, regulatory, and technical requirements. The role provides strategic direction on import categories, ensures alignment with TRD/QA for material validation, and oversees the complete import workflow executed by the Import Coordinator. The Import Manager also ensures smooth coordination with the Procurement Administrator for AP processing and compliance requirements.

What you'll be doing

  • • Ensure full compliance with BOC, BIR, and all regulatory agency requirements across all import transactions.


• Manage broker and freight forwarder relationships, evaluate their performance, and drive continuous improvement in service quality and cost efficiency.


• Monitor import KPIs including on-time delivery rates, landed cost trends, compliance rates, and demurrage/detention incidents.


• Develop and execute import category strategies to optimize cost, supply reliability, and quality across multiple business units.

• Lead end-to-end sourcing and commercial negotiations for all imported RM, PM, RTS materials, chemicals, equipment, spare parts, and all other import-dependent requirements, ensuring competitive cost, supply reliability, and alignment with technical standards.


• Manage RFQs/RFPs, conduct commercial evaluations, and recommend final awards.


• Ensure optimized commercial terms (Incoterms, pricing structure, freight terms, payment terms), supplier contracts and trade conditions are accurate and up to date.


• Conduct supplier benchmarking, landed cost analysis, and duty/tax impact assessment.


• Prepare commercial recommendations for imported RM, PM, chemicals, and equipment based on supplier quotations, landed cost analysis, and DOA requirements, and elevate for approval when necessary.
- Manage international supplier relationships, performance, and ongoing commercial alignment.


• Resolve pricing issues, supplier documentation gaps, and shipment delays by coordinating corrections with suppliers to avoid clearance delays and added costs.


• Evaluate commercial capability and compliance of foreign vendors.


• Identify and develop alternative international suppliers to support cost, quality, and supply continuity.
- Provide oversight and direction to the Import Coordinator for end-to-end import documentation.


• Ensure completeness and accuracy of commercial documents before booking and shipment.


• Validate duties, taxes, and regulatory requirements with brokers.


• Troubleshoot and escalate shipment or documentation issues to prevent delays or demurrage.


• Track permit validity periods and initiate renewal applications 90 days in advance to ensure continuous compliance.


• Monitor and ensure timely renewal of all import-related permits and registrations (ATRIG, CAIP, SPSIC, FPA, FDA, etc.) to prevent expiration and avoid operational disruptions.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years experience in supplier negotiation


• Familiarity with customs regulations, import documentation, and regulatory permits


• Experience handling RM/PM/chemicals in a manufacturing or trading environment is preferred


• Strong commercial negotiation and sourcing capability


• Knowledge of Incoterms, international trade rules, and duty/tax structures


• Supplier and stakeholder relationship management


• Strong coordination, problem-solving, and escalation handling


• High integrity, ethics, transparency, and adherence to procurement standards


• Analytical skills (market trends, cost structures, risk assessment)


• Planning, coordination, and communication skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
