About the role

The Food Safety Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the Philippine Football Federation's food and catering operations meet the highest safety and quality standards. Reporting to the Head of Catering, this is a contract-based position based in Pasig City, Metro Manila.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop, implement and monitor food safety policies, procedures and practices to safeguard the health and wellbeing of players, staff and guests
  • Conduct regular inspections of food preparation and serving areas to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Provide training and guidance to catering staff on food safety best practices
  • Liaise with local authorities to ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations
  • Investigate and resolve any food-related incidents or complaints
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation to demonstrate adherence to food safety protocols
  • Continuously review and improve food safety processes to drive operational excellence

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Public Health or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a food safety or quality assurance role, ideally within the sports/entertainment industry
  • Thorough understanding of food safety legislation, best practices and industry standards
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address food safety risks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to train and collaborate with catering teams
  • Ability to work flexibly to support the needs of the Philippine Football Federation
