We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Officer to oversee daily customs brokerage operations, manage client accounts, and coordinate with customs, ports, and logistics providers. This role is critical in ensuring smooth and efficient customs clearance while maintaining compliance with all regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily brokerage operations, ensuring smooth and timely customs clearance.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for client inquiries, providing excellent customer service and account management.
  • Coordinate with customs officials, ports, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to facilitate shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, tariff classifications, and trade laws.
  • Monitor shipment progress and troubleshoot any clearance or logistical issues.
  • Work closely with the customs brokers, entry writers, and freight coordinators to optimize workflows.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies and shipping companies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree related to management, engineering, customs are preferred but not required.
  • Experience in supply chain, operations, customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or logistics management.
  • Experience managing client accounts.
  • Working with customs, ports, and logistics providers is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
