I. Job Summary

The CPA is responsible for overseeing the company's entire accounting and financial management system, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency in all financial transactions. The CPA will manage daily accounting operations, prepare and analyze financial reports, handle government compliance (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG), and provide strategic financial advice to support management decisions for the restaurant and coffee kiosk operations.


II. Key Responsibilities

A. Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Review and consolidate sales and expense reports from all stores (QSR + kiosks).
  • Monitor and report branch performance metrics (sales trends, cost of goods sold, margins, and profitability).
  • Provide management with actionable insights on cost control, budget variance, and financial efficiency.

B. Tax & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all BIR tax returns (VAT, Withholding Taxes, Income Tax).
  • Prepare the Annual Audited Financial Statement (AFS) and coordinate external audit requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with government agencies (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, LGU permits).
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, accounting standards (PFRS), and local regulatory changes.

C. Internal Control & Audit

  • Establish and enforce internal control systems to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
  • Review and reconcile daily sales, deposits, petty cash, and inventory reports.
  • Conduct surprise audits of branches or kiosks to verify financial integrity.
  • Supervise cash management, disbursement approval, and supplier payment processes.

D. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts for operations and expansion.
  • Monitor performance against budget and recommend corrective measures.
  • Support management in evaluating new business opportunities and capital expenditures.

E. Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Supervise and mentor the accounting assistant and other finance staff.
  • Coordinate with operations, purchasing, and HR teams to ensure accurate financial documentation.
